The horse is a ghost and the worst part is, it tries to kill her but after learning the horse's story she tries to set it free. Can she befriend the ghost horse? If so, will the horse trust her? Or will she be killed in the proses of setting the lovely yet horrifying beast free?"

"As with the Horse Angel series, Ms. Dorsey has also given the now common-place horse ghost story a face-lift. The ghost is far scarier than in most pony ghost stories and there is a general sense of menace in the supernatural episodes. When we learn the ghost's secret it is quite hard-hitting and the subsequent events are slightly gruesome: the story is reminiscent more of an adult ghost story. Indeed this is not a pony story with a ghostly element shoe-horned in just to make it more exciting. It is a true ghost story which just happens to have a horse theme. As with the author's Horse Angel series, the characters and themes have more depth than in most books of this sort. Again, an excellent enjoyable read."

I think it's a good book because although Lauren's mom did something she shouldn't have, Lauren forgave her in the end. If you LOVE horses like I do, as well as books where people go back in time, and a book that is still heartwarming, you'll like this book IMMENSELY! Happy reading!"

"Before I read any of these books I thought the central premise of the series and some of the plot lines sounded a bit naff and melodramatic, and they probably could have been in the wrong hands. However when I read the first one in the series, as with a lot of the Stabenfeldt books, I was pleasantly surprised, and soon went on to read quite a few more. Not only was the idea of the horse angel/guardian handled far better than I expected, but, although many of the books in the series are adventure types stories, which normally I don’t care much for, these were all excellent. Angela Dorsey is without doubt one of the best of the authors writing for Stabenfeldt and her skill sets this books far above the usual pony adventure fodder. Although the character of Angelica is not explored deeply (seeming to be there mainly as a pivot for the plots), those of the other central characters in the books are. We really get an insight into their hopes and fears. The books actually contain real depth and although they may appear on the surface to be just supernatural adventures, each one is linked to an important real life situation or emotion, which balances out the supernatural element. For instance, one book explores the issue of senile dementia, another that of adoption. The heroines in each book often also have to overcome emotional issues or make tough decisions. For example in one book a girl must decide whether to condemn a number of wild horses to death in order to save a precious few. Another girl lives with the guilt of suspecting her father has committed murder. As with all good stories, the protagonists grow and change throughout the books as they come to terms with their feelings and resolve their problems, usually through their own efforts, as well as with the help of Angelica. The fact that Angelica does not just appear as a simple deux-ex-machina to miraculously save the situation, but also needs the reciprocal help of the human characters, makes the stories far more appealing.

"An interesting touch is the narrative style in which there are three separate viewpoints of the heroine, the ‘villain’ and Angelica. This is handled well and does not become confusing due to each viewpoint having separate chapters. It gives a balanced feel to the books and also explains to some extent how Angelica comes to appear in each scenario. There is also an interesting array of ‘baddies’ with one or two real nasties; but in other cases the bad guy’s actions are the result of their own emotional traumas, which in some books are resolved, enabling them to redeem themselves.

"Yet despite the fact the author manages to bring a depth of character and situation into the books, this does not at all result in dull stodge. She still manages to make the adventures or mysteries exciting and fast paced. Most of the books are real page-turners.

"The horsy content is good and varied. There are many different horsy situations from competitive riding to ranches to racing, and a number of different breeds appear too. Another point of interest is the wide range of settings for the stories, which include the USA, England, Ireland, South America and even Egypt! There is certainly enough to keep the attention of the most easily-bored reader.

"What Angela Dorsey has done in this series is to create books which have something for everyone. Those who like adventures, excitement and danger will love them, and those who like a little bit of depth and character development to sink their teeth into, will also get a lot out of them. Fans of both the supernatural and realistic plot will also enjoy the stories equally. In this way I think they appeal to a wide range of readers and also a wide age range.

"I love the book! It was the first of Angela's books that I read. I borrowed it from my cousin and after reading it, I became a big Horse Angel fan! Poor Sophie. Im so happy that she got a family. Aria is so beautiful and has the true elegance of an arabian. Sky is like taken out of a western movie. He is so strong and as beautiful as just a wild horse can be. Melody is maybe mixed breed, but she is the most beautiful and nice filly you can imagine. Angelica is so pure and good. "I love this book! This book starts in the winter, with a dead Fred, a crazy George, and two helpless people. George shoots her dad and tries to shoot her. She then meets Angelica and they get away on Fred's Horse Nugget. George chases them. They find Fred's Grave, and are trying to find the poor dad. But can they find him? Or will George find them first? Can they get away from George and get the cops? Or will they die in the snow? If you read this book it'll answer all the Questions."

"I love this book! I don't know how that girl could do that. I mean, wow, owning Mustangs? What a deal but what a awful deal. It made me think of how guilty she would feel if she let those horses go to slaughter.This book helped me out in my life too, cause at the time I read it my dad was thinking of trading a old horse for a younger one that a man had for slaughter. But I stopped it and told my dad that I didn't think that was right so I found a home for the old gelding. He now goes on trail rides and the people love him. I don't care that I didn't get very much for him but I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I sent him to that other place! HORSES ARE AWESOME NO MATTER THE AGE!I love this book. It really is great! Thanks Angela for writing it."

It turns out that slaughter of ANY animal that does not chew its cudd and have cloven hooves is strictly prohibited. When I read that it made me very happy."

Sobekkare's Revenge

"Although at times, I think of this as one of Angela's darker stories, I really like this book. As usual, characters are devoloped well, there is an awesome plot, and I *always* like the multiple points of view and havng 4 made the story even more awesome! This and Silver Dream are always competing for my favorite Horse Angel boo, so very good job, Angela!!"

"Sobekkare's Revenge is an awsome book to read, because the story has more than 3 different points of view. (Angelica, the main character, and the bad guy.) This story has 4 different points of view. (Angelica, the main character, Sobekkare and the man who found the burial site of Sobekkare.)

Even though she's the bad guy, I feel sorry for Sobekkare because she thought that horses were evil and that she should destroy them because her enemies were humans riding horses. (The horses had scared her troops long, long ago, which made her lose the battle.)

I'm glad that the baby horse, Amala, felt the same way as I do towards Sobekkare.

This is one of the top books written by Angela Dorsey!!!!!!!!!!"

"OMG, this book has to be the best yet. The kidnapping, and by the way I kinda like Robert, I really do not think he likes kidnapping and I feel sorry for him having only the meanest, least understanding, most horrible sister ever left in his family. I think Robert should be released and have his sister in jail. He was nice. He kept the captive alive."
