January 2008 Question:
For those of you who have horses or dreamhorses, if you had to choose a different name for your horse, what would it be? And now for the second part of the question: if you had to choose a different name for yourself, what would it be?
Some Answers to the January 2008 Question:
Shelby in the United States:
"I dont know about the dream horse part because I haven't been too involved with horses so much with school and all. But I would want to rename myself Riley. All my friends call me that."
Ashley in Canada:
"Keeta and Jani. Thats all I have on my mind. :) forever."
Lynn in The United States:
"I have a DreamHorse and his name is Poco Paso who is a POA. If I could change his name, it would be Dreamy. My name is Lynn and I would change it to Skyler."
Sara in The United States:
"I wouldn't want to change my horses names, I don't think. We named our one horse June Bug (so we got to pick), then with Star Baby, her name just explains her so well. As for me, I would definitely want to change my name. It seems kind of common here, and my friends say it doesn't suit me. lol! I might like Danny or Alex or Galaxy!"
Kourtney in The United States:
"Hmmmmm.... My horse's name is Remy, so I get a lot of jokes from my friends about Ratatoille (the rat's name is Remy). I would change his name to Shaq, short for Shacklebolt. I'm a crazy Harry Potter fan, and he's one of the characters. As for me, I've always like the name Katie, or Isabella (Bella). But I don't think I could ever get used to somebody calling me that. I like Luna too (she's a another Harry Potter character)."
Erin in The United States:
"My horse is Toby. If I had to pick a different name for him it would be Sunshine because thats what he fills my life with! For me I would choose Erica because it sounds more girly than my name :D lol."
Cara in Germany:
"I love my name because it's so unusual in Germany... sadly most of the people think I would be called Clara or Cora. I hate that... So I think I wouldn't change my name although I like the name Cassidy.
I have a few dreamhorses and each of them has a perfect name so that I won't change them.
My favorites are Amal and Sherdil (white Arabian mare and black Arabian stallion) and Skýfaxa (Icelandic mare with dark brown coat and silver-blond mane and tail).
"
J.F. in The United States:
"I don't have a horse but my dream horse's name would have to be Breaking Dawn. And if I could change my name it would probably be Isabella."
Stephenie in The United States:
"If I could change my dream horse's name to another, it'd be more like chocolate, or Jubilee, because my dream horse looks like a light colored chocolate bar, and I just love the name Jubilee. If I could change my name, even though i too love the name Stephenie, I'd go by my nickname, Lily, because it's a name my little brother always used to call me. ^_^ "
Alex in the United States:
"I would be named Epona, and I would name my dreamhorse.... I dunno. There is so many perfect names for her."
Rachel in the United States:
"My horse's name was Lightning. If I had to change his name I probably would have called him Regalo. Regalo means 'gift'. Lightning was a gift from my parents and my friends in California and he was the most precious gift anyone could ever give. I am not sure what I would rename myself but something pretty. Perhaps Luna? (The name of Angela's grand daughter). It sounds pretty - Luna and Regalo. The moon and her gift."
Bettina in Norway:
"For myself, maybe Rebecca? I really like that name. It's much more common than mine! But I'm not sure about my favourite horse, Rumle. It would have been odd to call him something else... And since he's gone, it makes it harder to come up with a new name. He fits his name perfectly. Rumle sounds so unformal, but still very cosy."
Hannah in the United States:
"I have a horse, and her name is Lita. My name is Hannah. If I could choose a new name for Lita, I think I would choose either Cirrus or Silver Storm. She's a dapple grey, so it's fitting, and I love storms and air and clouds and stuff like that. Also, they're not common names. If I could choose a new name for myself, I'd pick Ivy. It's an unusual name, and I love the plant it's named after."
Stephanie in the United States:
"If I had to choose a different name for the horse of my dreams, which is currently a horse named Wonder, I think I would name him Midnight Moon, Midnight Star, or Midnight Sunshine. He is a dark bay almost black thoroughbred with a white star. He is GORGEOUS! I wouldn't change my name, I really like Stephanie. Although if I had to my name would be Summer."
