Going Crazy!

I’ve been packing and writing and selling horses and keeping up with dentist appointments, riding lessons, and all that stuff - and its been a LOT of stuff to do! I can’t wait until we get moved into our new house.

But wait! Then I’ll just have to unpack. Then I’ll just have to set up all the activities in the new town. And I still have a book to finish. And Christmas is coming up! Maybe I won’t be able to relax until January.

In the meantime, I need to get organized. But I think I packed my head away in one of the boxes…

Well, Have fun!! I hope you get can relax-SOON!! It does sound like you are busy!

  2. Anne-Line Says:

I feel so bad that you had to sell Orion, Angela. :(

I also hope she will be happy in her new home, and I hope you feel well. From the pictures I have seen of her, and what you have told me, she looks and sounds like a beautiful and lovely horse, and I bet she is. I have a poem for her here:

    Our ways are now splitting,
    I know it was right
    It still feels bad, though,
to my heart you are tight
I smile when I think of the time that we had
And I know I am going to miss you so bad
but so it is true, when our path finds its end:
Though far away, You are still my best friend :)

I have been away from the site for a while because I have been sick. I got a nasty cold, I couldn’t sing or use the computer or anything :P

But now I am much better, and in english at school we have about Shakespeare. So we are gonna do scenes from Romeo and Juliet in class, and I am gonna be Juliet in the balcony scene (the best known one, and the longest we are going to perform) But I think Shakespeare enjoyed giving his actors a lot of toungetwisters! Man, its a very different way of english. (If you have seen the play or read it, you know what I mean!)

I am so looking forward to do it though. Martin in my class is “my” Romeo, and he is both good looking (hehe) and a clever actor (I never forget his version of Alladin in our fairy tale concert in the chorus! LOL). Its gonna be so fun!

  3. Angela Dorsey Says:

Thanks so much for the poem, Anne-Line! I’ll cherish it always.

I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better too.

Enjoy your Romeo and Juliet. The balcony scene is my favourite.

  4. Mirriam Says:

Romeo, Romeo, let down your hair, so that I - wait…

  5. Mirriam Says:

Guess what? I have an Illustrating job! I”m going to illustrate a children’s book called ‘How the Penguin got his Tuxedo!’ you can all see me in PRINT!!!! Also I’m working on several books for publishing. :)

  6. Anne-Line Says:

Mirriam, I think you have to read over the script again, lol! :D I believe it is like this:

Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father, and refuse thy name. Or, if thou will not, be but sworn my love, and I will no longer be a Capulet.

And that is just ONE of all the lines I have to learn! Man! This is gonna take a lot of time. :P How fun that you are going to illustrate a book, then, Mirriam! I have always dreamt about doing that. I love to illustrate the stories I write at school. Good luck and have fun with it! :)

  7. Mirriam Says:

HA HA! :) i KNEW that! *heehee* I was kidding! “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair so that I may climb the golden stair” … yes.

Wow, you had to memorize Shakespeare? “Is that a dagger that I see before me?” heehee!! “Oh, happy dagger…blah blah blah…” what sort of dagger is HAPPY, for Pete’s sake? other than Sting…but that’s more like a knife…hmm. Yes. I’m rambling. I sure am.

  8. Stephenie Says:

Aw, sorry about Orion, Angela. Hope you get to relax soon. :D

  9. Mirriam Says:

OH, NO! I woke up this morning with a sore throat! It’s the kind that doesn’t hurt until you swallow, *WAH-HA* Pleez pray that I get better fast! (Oh, and in case you’re wondering, my mom’s doing much better.)

  10. Stephenie Says:

Sore throats stink, even if they don’t always hurt. Hope you get better soon, dear! :D

  11. Amanda Says:

I think there must be a “throat” bug going around. I got a sore throat yesterday (Wednesday) and now my throat hurts SOOOO bad and I have a fever. :( It was “101.2″ degrees (farenheit) when I woke up this morning. *groans* Pray for me too! :(

  12. Breanna Says:

I hope you get better soon Mirriam!!!!!

Wow, Anne-Line that sounds like so much fun!!!!!!!! Good luck with all your memorizing. I love acting too and I’m good at it! But I’ve never acted in that play…

Guess what my cousin Kile is coming down for Christmas!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!!!!

  13. April Says:

I have the same kind of cold. I never got it really bad. I have a Bible quizzing tournament and I have too leave tomorow!!! It came very fast…

I think it would be fun to do Shakespeare. That is what us homeschooleres should do!! That would be so much fun!! Of course it would take a bit of work, but I think we could manage. Mom has a homeschool support group going. So maybe if us older ones would want too do something like that we could…

  14. Anne-Line Says:

We were rehearsing today for Romeo and Juliet, and now suddenly, I’ve got TWO Romeo’s! Because Marin did not manage to learn all the lines in the scene, so half the way, he switches with Chris. But I am doing Juliet through the whole scene, and I feel I remember much already.

Sore throats is the worst thing I know! When I have it, I cant sing, and singing, acting are my favourite hobbies, except for reading and riding of course! I hope all of you who have got sore throats get better as fast as possible. :D

Good luck on your bible quizzing, April!

  15. Mirriam Says:

Thanks, Breanna! The Taming of the Shrew would be a fun play…..

  16. Rachel D. Says:

That is so awesome about the picture book Mirriam! Congratulations! How is everybody? Every day that I’m away from a computer I feel I’m drifting away from sanity. I hope you are able to relax soon Angela, you sound dreadfully busy!

  17. Rachel D. Says:

Oh, and I hope that everyone who is sick feels betters soon!

  18. Gabrielle Says:

I haven’t been on here in a loooong time but that’s because something’s wrong with our internet access at home. SUPER GOOD LUCK on illustrating that book, Mirriam. That is super cool.

  19. Gabrielle Says:

    (PS)

Mirriam, I was just on GHC and saw you’re in first in the Judge For Yourself. Good luck!

PPS - I love your story, by the way. When you’re a famous author I will look back and smile and say ‘ahhh, and to think that I knew her :)

  20. Mirriam Says:

Thanks, Gabrielle! I’m so glad you like it! AHAHA!!! You girls are so fun! Take care! (You too, Stephanie dear :D )

  21. April Says:

Thanks Anne-Line! I am back now. It was SO much fun!! I love the praise and worship time!! Cause when you sing, you sing really loud!! In our church, there are carpets everywhere and people just don’t sing like we do at quizzing. That’s why I like the praise and worship time. I guess I felt like I was actually praising God when I sing loud. Then there is the quizzing, new friends that you make… There was this guy named Steve there…My Best Friend went up to him and they were just staring at eachother (They are good friends) and Steve flicks her in the nose!! Everybody just burst out laughing! She was least expecting that too happen.
I individually placed 14th. I am not sure what my team placed, but I will let you know!!

    Good luck Mirriam!!

  22. Anne-Line Says:

Congratulations on the story contest, Mirriam!

  30. Gabrielle Says:

By the way, does anybody on here do National Novel Writing Month?

  31. Angelica (Mirriam) Says:

What is National Novel Writing Month? Thanks for the congrats, guys!

  32. Alexyz Says:

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) is in November. All you have to do is write a 50,000 word story in that month. You don’t win a prize or anything, but it’s fun. You can talk to other participating writers to give (and get) encouragment. And if you have trouble finishing stuff, then it’s a good boost.

  33. Gabrielle Says:

    Angela, that comment:

was actually by me, Gabrielle. My little sister has been on my computer and since my computer remembers usernames and stuff, her name came up.

I did Nano Wrimo and I wrote a full length novel! How is every body? I miss my computer. Guess what- a publishing company is interested in my book!
